Staff My Centre

Staff My Centre connects child care centres with educators for on-call shifts: centres post shifts, and educators we've interviewed and checked fill them. These terms set out what each side agrees to.

Centres

Your centre holds an Ontario child care licence. You pay Staff My Centre a yearly membership. The first 50 centres we approve get their first 6 months free, as a founding place: nothing is charged in those months and nothing renews by itself; to keep posting after them, you join at the price then. You hire the educator for the day and pay them yourself, through your payroll, at the rate the shift lists. You confirm the hours actually worked after each shift.

You may review an educator who has covered a shift for you: one review from your centre, which you can change whenever you like. Rate the work, honestly: your comment is shown to other member centres and the educator only once we've checked it, and we don't publish one that names a child, mentions health, family, age, religion, accent or anything else personal, or isn't about the work.

Educators

The credentials you upload are yours and current, and what you tell us at your interview is true. When you accept a shift you show up for it, or cancel as early as you can.

Member centres see your profile: your name, role, the cities and areas you work in, whether you're free for their shifts, and your rating and reviews. A centre you've covered a shift for also sees the days and hours you work and your days off. If you think a review breaks these rules, report it from Your reviews and we'll look at it.

Our part

We interview educators and check their credentials, and check centres, before they can use Staff My Centre. We keep the record of shifts and hours, and check review comments before anyone else reads them. We never take a cut of an educator's pay.
