Privacy policy

Staff My Centre connects Ontario child care centres with early childhood educators for on-call shifts. We collect what that needs and nothing more.

What we keep

Your name, email address and mobile number, and when you last signed in; the areas and times you choose to work; for educators, your qualification, the credentials you upload (College of ECE registration, vulnerable sector check, first aid) and the result of your interview with us; for centres, your centre's details and locations; the shifts, bookings and pay between you; and the ratings and reviews centres write about educators who have covered their shifts. If you join the waitlist for a province we're not open in yet, we keep your name, email address and, for a centre, its name, only to tell you when we open there.

Who sees what

Only our review team sees credential documents and interview notes. Member centres see an educator's profile: name, role, the cities they work in (never a full postal code), that we interviewed them and checked their documents, whether they're free for that centre's shifts, and their rating and reviews. A centre an educator has covered a shift for also sees the days and hours they work, their days off, and how many shifts and hours they've worked for it. A centre sees an educator's mobile and email only once that educator has accepted its shift. Review comments are shown only after we've checked them, and a review we hide is seen only by our team.

An educator can stop working with a centre: that centre then no longer sees them, and isn't told.

How we protect it

Personal details, review comments and uploaded documents are encrypted when stored, in Canada.

Who we share it with

Nobody sells it. We use service providers to send email and text messages and to take payment for memberships; they get only what that service needs.

Your choices

You can change your details, stop text messages (reply STOP) or ask us to delete your account at any time: email privacy@staffmycentre.ca.
